Head shot:

A headshot is where the focus of the image is a person's face such as an Actor or Actress headshot with the photograph mainly consisting of the artist head but close enough not to show the entire head.

Portrait:

This is essentially the same as a head shot but includes the Model or Actors face either with or without shoulders.
